Logitech G430 Gaming Headset Review: Comfortable Headset for Gaming

Logitech G430 Gaming Headset

The Logitech G430 is above average in almost every category, from sensitive microphone performance to low noise levels. One of the best gaming headsets?" N on the market, the Logitech G430 features a super-wide design with in-ear headphones that surround your ears and improve sound isolation.

This model has the highest bass and volume level with 360-degree surround sound and a noise-canceling mic. 360-degree surround sound is used in conjunction with Dolby 7.1 surround sound, allowing gamers to truly immerse themselves in the action and experience of their games.

While not a wireless gaming headset, the Logitech G430 comes with an ideal straight jack when the jack is at the top or bottom of the player. The headset has a cable length of 2.3 meters, long enough to allow free movement.

The Logitech G430 headphones are made from black plastic with light blue athletic padding on the top of the head and around each ear. This mesh material is perforated to reduce sweating during heated play sessions, much like makeup on a soccer jersey.

Each ear bears the Logitech "G" logo and can be rotated up to 90 degrees to lay flat on one side. There is a noise-canceling microphone in the cup on the headset's left side that you can fold up when you're not talking. The sky blue cable of the G430s has a push-fit switch so you can adjust the volume and mute the mic without interrupting your work. A 3.5mm headphone jack and microphone jacks plug into the device at the end of the cable with a USB.

The G430 is one of the best headphones out there. The swivel ear cup, adjustable headband, and foam padding make it super easy for those awkward moments, even with big hair and glasses in mind.

I spoke to a colleague who uses the G430 as a headset every day, and he agreed. The larger ear cups release quite a bit of sound and interfere with enjoyment, but they're harsh on the top from a visual standpoint.

The Logitech G430 has a 40mm driver and 32 Ohm impedance, 20Hz to 20KHz frequency response, and 90dB SPL / mW sensitivity. Even when playing various games at the highest speeds, the sound from the G430s headphones cannot be heard by peers around.

Adjusting the software balance helped me with a few things, but I also noticed that the software was missing some important presets. If you want more bass genres for hip hop or more genres equal to classical music, you have to change the setting yourself every time. This headset is convenient for beginners and unsatisfactory for anyone who wants more than just a hearing aid.

The G430's 4-inch adjustable microphone can be easily adjusted even if it's close to your mouth or a few inches from your face.

To test out the G430 noise-canceling mic, we recorded ourselves talking in the middle of a busy office laptop. Even though there are many people around us, the microphone only registers the sound when we bend the voice with the mouth. When I connect the external mic, I can hear some external messages. In comparison, the G230 retains more background noise at the same time.

Logitech Gaming Software is one of my favorite services in the gaming peripherals industry. There is no market match for profile design, link games, and performance. That's why it's a shame that the G430 doesn't have many of the features of other Logitech peripherals.

Best of all, unlike Logitech mice and switches, you can't create a personal profile for your game. If you want to create a rich soundtrack for live-action movies and a soundtrack for multiple shooters, you have to do it all the time. It's a bit confusing because the different options are intense. You can control the width of bass and treble or set it to 10 equals. Adding surround sound makes it impossible to record the profile, so there are plenty of options to control.
